Dr. Dena Sapanaro is a New Jersey transplant. Originally from Rockland County, New York, she spent most of her teenage life in Bergen County. Dr. Dena, as many of her patients like to call her, received a B.S. in biology from Rutgers University and an M.S. in biology from Montclair State University.
Dr. Dena earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery at New York University’s College of Dentistry, where she also completed specialty training in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Sapanaro went on to complete another residency program in dental anesthesia at The University of Pittsburgh. Throughout her postgraduate education, Dr. Sapanaro developed a love of outreach dentistry and has traveled both internationally and domestically to provide dental care to children in need.
Dr. Sapanaro is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is board certified for the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and National Dental Board of Anesthesia.
In her free time, Dr. Sapanaro likes cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband and two sons. Her goal is for every child to have a positive and enjoyable experience at the dentist’s office.
